From Kendall Miller at FresHDV: I recently had the opportunity to speak with Brian Valente of Redrock Micro about the evolution of the M2 adapter as well as the development of their entire line of cinema tools for indie users.
Some of the topics we discussed was how the Micro35 movement and the whole 35 adapter movement as a whole has impacted the indie film market, the use of DOF as a tool in narrative cinema, and where the indie film market is headed in the future. We also talked about two new products that they will be revealing at NAB 2007 which I’m personally very excited about. First up is their long promised Matte Box system and all the preliminary indicators are that it will deliver quite an impressive feature set.
