Looks great. Isn't that the Zacuto Z-Finder that another thread says won't work with the Redrock mounting setup on there? And if so, did you do something special with the setup (love my Z-finder, not a fan of the Hoodman loop). _________________ Victor Currie

Victor,
What Rachel (the redrock employee who mentioned the zFinder incompatibility) was refering to is the new "gorilla" plate that the zFinders come with. This is a small block that attaches to the base of the camera and ends up rising it up, which makes throws some allignment with accesories off (just like adding a battery grip to the camera would).
The zFinder works so long as you do it the way Justin has it attached, which is using the adhesive strip that comes with the older zFinders and I believe is still included with the newer ones. Its the gorilla plate that causes issues. _________________ Daniel Colmenares

I like it, is it still front heavy or you have been able to balance it? I wish I can see how you manage to mount wireless receiver on you rig, and Zoom also. I still velcroing mine. |

The zoom appears to be mounted via micro arm, and the wireless reciever via a micromount. _________________ Daniel Colmenares
